Celebrating 30 Years of Healing, Advocacy, and Hope.

For three decades, the Women’s Center of Jacksonville has stood up for survivors of sexual assault—offering critical support, compassionate care, and unwavering advocacy. Their 24/7 rape crisis hotline serves sexual assault survivors and their loved ones. Though their direct services are limited to Duval, Baker, and Nassau counties, the reach extends far beyond Northeast Florida. Staffed by trained advocates around the clock, the hotline offers immediate crisis counseling, support, and guidance—including connection to the caller’s local rape crisis center when appropriate.

As we honor
WCJ’s 30th Anniversary, we invite you to help us restore a vital part of their healing mission: the courtyard.

Right now, this sacred space—designed for peace, reflection, and restoration—is in urgent need of renewal.

If this were your loved one—how far would you go to offer them safety, beauty, and healing?

Duval. Baker. Nassau.
This is our moment to give back.

We are raising funds to transform the WCJ courtyard into a true sanctuary for survivors and their families. The renovation includes:
• Structural repairs and accessibility upgrades
• A strong foundation of industrial-grade turf and pavers
• A tranquility wall water feature to promote a calming space
• A modern pergola offering shade and serenity
• New lighting and electrical power for warmth and security
• Raised planters with seasonal blooms to inspire growth and hope

This is more than a renovation.
It’s a celebration of 30 years of service—and a promise to the next 30.

Together, let’s build a space that reflects the strength and resilience of every survivor WCJ has served—and will continue to serve.

BUILDING A SANCTUARY OF HOPE

Why You Should Donate.

Q: Can a courtyard really help survivors heal? A: Yes. Research shows that peaceful, restorative environments play a key role in trauma recovery. A beautiful, intentional space gives survivors a place to reflect, grieve, and begin again — often when they need it most.

Q: Isn’t this the city’s responsibility? A: While public funding is limited, the Women’s Center of Jacksonville relies heavily on community support. This project is grassroots, powered by people who care enough to act. That’s why your help matters.

Q: What if I can’t give a large amount? A: Every gift counts. Whether it’s $5 or $500, your donation joins a collective effort to transform lives. Healing happens - together, we build hope.

Q: How does my donation make a real difference?
A: Your contribution goes directly toward creating a therapeutic outdoor space designed for reflection, safety, and emotional recovery. Every dollar helps provide dignity and healing to survivors of sexual assault.

Q: Why does the WCJ Courtyard need revitalization? A: After 30 years of service, the courtyard — once a quiet space for healing and reflection — is now worn down and in desperate need of repair. Restoring it creates a safe, peaceful environment where survivors can begin to rebuild their lives.

Julie, Sexual Assault Survivor

"WCJ held my hand every step of the way. Their unwavering support made me feel safe during my most vulnerable moments, and their constant reminders of my accomplishments helped me rediscover my worth — and learn to love myself again. The courtyard was one of the first places my counselor took me. Being outside, surrounded by calm, gave me the space I needed to breathe, to reflect, and to begin healing. It’s more than just a courtyard — it’s where many of us take our first steps toward hope.”

Jasmine, WCJ Advocate

"In my three years at WCJ, I’ve witnessed this organization consistently exceed expectations — for survivors, for our community, and across the state. Our dedicated staff and welcoming space embody the life-changing work we do every day. Transforming the courtyard into a place for reflection and meditation is a vital step forward, ensuring that hope, healing, and safety remain at the heart of who we are."

Josh Kenning, Operations Manager, Eagleye Property Services

“At Eagleye Property Services, we believe faith leads the way — and when a community comes together with hearts aligned, incredible things can happen. This courtyard is more than bricks and plants; it’s a space where healing begins. We’re honored to help rally the hands and hearts needed to transform it into the sanctuary these survivors so deeply deserve.”
