Sexual Violence is widespread.

It affects millions nationwide and leaving deep scars in our own community of Northeast Florida. Survivors here often face not only trauma, but also isolation, health challenges, safety concerns, and the responsibility of caring for loved ones while trying to heal. Our mission is to ensure every survivor knows they are not alone — that compassionate support is always within reach.

Mental Health Issues often
develop into PTSD.

Sexual assault survivors are 3 to 5 times more likely to experience depression, emphasizing the importance of trauma-informed counseling and long-term support. Our counselors inspire growth, insight, and a healing journey, not only for sexual assault, but for everyday issues like depression, anxiety, and strengthening  relationships.

Prevention Education. Breast Cancer Support. Career Readiness.

The WCJ addresses the root causes of sexual violence and implementing prevention strategies, making it possible to create a safer and more equitable community. We also invest in prevention and wellness through literacy programs, resiliency workshops, and support for women in active treatment for breast cancer—continuing to evolve as a trusted community resource dedicated to hope and healing.

No One Should Heal Alone.

Your donation, no matter the amount, supports sexual assault survivors, violence prevention education, women facing mental health crisis, breast cancer patients, or a mom struggling to return to work. Together we ARE making a difference.

Every 74 seconds, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted.

"After it happened, I was so afraid. I didn’t think I would survive the shame, the guilt, and the desire to give up. Then I came to the Rape Recovery Center at the WCJ. I am here today because of their support and how much they cared".

1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience mental illness each year.

"I look forward to seeing my friends in Monday night group because the ladies (from all walks of life) inspire me to stay motivated, focused, and determined to live. We share where we are in our journey with one another and respect what is said. The ladies make me laugh and feel comfortable speaking openly about anything".

Prevention education is the Key to eliminating sexual assault

"I attended one of your prevention training seminars at UNF and learned that by teaching children to understand personal boundaries, identify manipulative tactics, and recognize trusted adults for help, we can help prevent sexual abuse and sexual violence. Knowledge is the key to building and maintaining healthy, respectful, and equitable relationships".
